RE: Tiffin FRED

Thank God they are not out! I saw that post last night when we got home and was not happy. We are looking at the Tiffins because of thier reputation. We don't want the problems of the past.

Tiffin FRED

I just got out of a bad class C after a long legal fight. My wife and want to give it one last try before we just give up. We are looking at a Tiffin 34 TGA FRED. The dealer is over 200 miles away but we heard that Tiffin will let you get it fixed almost any place. Also what are the facts on the FRED? They have only be out a year or so. We know nothing is perfect but the last year has been a nightmare. We need some advice and help before we just give up. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

RE: Where is everyone off to this Memorial Day Weekend?

Had to cancel our plains. The rig is still out of service. Going back to the factory again. I just got it back last Wednesday. Now I'm out my camping fees.

RE: HELP!!!!

New, 2008. Just a Monday morning or Friday afternoon build. The warranty if the dealer. He has 6 locations in Michigan. The sales dept. is great. One of my drivers has a class A from them, a big DP, he told me to go to the same salesman. Now he takes his coach to the Cummins dealer. They will not work on this ether. The way Fleetwood talks of him I think they are looking at there options.

RE: HELP!!!!

No, I knew to move the seat, and I'm not that tall. The slide problems are all electric. I also have problems with the house 12VDC systems. It is all connected they think. The damages are mostly from panel removal to find bad wires.

RE: HELP!!!!

Thank you, I didn't find the problems until I got her home. I just want to have fun with it, thats why we got it. It is going to snow tonight and tomorrow and I would just like to go south. We have had record snowfall and I really like South Carolina.

RE: HELP!!!!

Today Fleetwood call and they want me to drive the coach to the factory in Decatur for two weeks. Any one ever do this? Is this a good or bad idea? How bad is my coach if they want to "re manufacture" it? Do I ask for compensation for the lost value?

RE: HELP!!!!

No, if the dealer gets tired of fixing your coach, they can back out of the warranty. Fleetwood has no power to make the dealer do the work. The rep told me this. Call fleetwood. 1-800-322-8216, ask for Duane.

RE: HELP!!!!

Yes the K is the same size as an M. The van conversion part has to do with this states lemon law (legal hair splitting). We found out today the customer service rep working with us is no longer with fleetwood. No our insurance will not cover the damage as it is part of ongoing quality issues, my wife is an agent. The damages were caused by poor workmanship at the dealer, but the dealer wouldn't have had to rip out walls to fix electrical issues if it was manufactured correctly, at one point the sides stuck in the out position in my driveway, no power. And yes they shot a nail into the rear bedroom sliding door and nailed it in the open position. We have sent pictures, letters and copies of everything in and now the new rep knows nothing of the case. We have kept copies of everything and the post office return receipts. They can't clam we didn't try.

RE: HELP!!!!

We sent two certified letters to fleetwood, one to the VP of RV's and one to the CEO. No response.

RE: HELP!!!!

No, I still work for the city, LT in the fire dept. I don't need that trouble.

RE: HELP!!!!

Ya I know the lemon law is out in Michigan but fraud is fraud. The salesman and the brochure's state quality. And a class C is a van conversation, not a motor home.

RE: HELP!!!!

New in Sept. The slide didn't work, the couch hit the wall, the fiberglass was cracked and a long list of little things. The dealer nailed a door open, ripped the interior and broke the awning. The awning is so bad I can't drive it. Fleedwood told we to pack sand. I an an ex cop and I will not put up with this

HELP!!!!

My wife and I got our first RV in September. It has been in the shop for over a month and now the dealer told us the warranty is up. We have not even use it yet. It is a Fleetwood Tioga 31K. The dealer did some damage working on it and I am going to the police for destruction of private property but what do we do with the RV? We can't use it and it's junk. Now I'm stuck with the note and the funds I spent on it.

RE: Video Distribution box

Power without key on is the switch on the dash at your right knee. Put the TV on tuner and on channel 3. Select DVD on the splitter box. Sound will come from the TV and the cab speekers.
